The 74th Annual Miss Georgia Pageant concluded tonight at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts in Columbus, Georgia.  Fifty-three women from across the state have been competing for academic scholarship and the title of Miss Georgia 2018.  Contestants have competed in preliminary competitions of Interview, Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit, Talent, Evening Wear, On-Stage Question, and a private Interview leading up to tonight’s final competition.

 

The night began with the naming of the top fifteen for Miss Georgia.  They were:


Miss Fitzgerald — Livvy Hiers

Miss International City — Annie Jorgensen

Miss Rome — Taylor Burrell

Miss Presidential Pathways — Caroline Carroll

Miss Coastal Empire — Megan Johnson

Miss Emanuel County — Destiny LeVant

Miss Cobb County — Victoria Hill

Miss Johns Creek — Stephanie Gargiulo

Miss Capital City — Paula Smith

Miss Golden Isles — Anna Freeman

Miss Fulton County — Chari Guzmam

Miss Atlanta — Brooke Doss

Miss Historic Buford — Alexa Gilomen

Miss Historic Southern Plains — Sarah Deloach

Miss University of Georgia — Holly Haynes

The top fifteen then competed in Swimsuit before the field was narrowed to the top ten semi-finalists.  The ten semi-finalists were: 


Miss Johns Creek — Stephanie Gargiulo

Miss Fulton County — Chari Guzmam

Miss Cobb County — Victoria Hill

Miss University of Georgia — Holly Haynes

Miss Historic Buford — Alexa Gilomen

Miss Rome — Taylor Burrell

Miss International City — Annie Jorgensen

Miss Atlanta — Brooke Doss

Miss Historic Southern Plains — Sarah Deloach

Miss Capital City — Paula Smitha


These contestants competed in the Evening Wear and Talent competitions before announcing the top five finalists. Annie Jorgensen, Miss International City, was then selected as the 2018 Miss Georgia, receiving $17,500 in scholarship awards, and the opportunity to compete in the 2019 Miss America pageant starting on September 9, 2018, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Also receiving scholarship awards were fourth runner-up, Miss Historic Buford — Alex Gilomen ($2500); third runner-up, Miss Cobb County — Victoria Hill ($3500); second runner-up, Miss Atlanta — Brooke Doss ($5000); first runner-up, Miss Fulton County — Chari Guzman ($7500). The remaining top ten semi-finalists received a $1500 scholarship and the remaining top fifteen received a $1000 scholarship.
